Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club

Located at an altitude, of 1,160 meters (3,800 feet) above sea level, Black Jack's 30 plus kilometres of trails provide consistent and reliable snow cover from early December through late April. The high altitude provides ideal training opportunities.

The home of Canadian national champion and world cup podium finisher George Grey, the Black Jack Ski Club has a long reputation as one of BC's premiere nordic skiing venues having played host to numerous successful international events including the Haywood NorAm in 2007 and 2009, The BC Winter games in 2006 and 1982, the Canadian Masters championships and dry land and on snow training for the Canadian Nordic and Biathlon teams.

The fully wired event venue features a 1km stadium loop area fully lit for night skiing in an open meadow with excellent visibility for spectators adjacent to the ample parking and heritage hospitality and warming cabins.

Featuring fantastic viewpoints around each bend in the trails looking up at the Monashee mountains or down onto the Columbia River valley Black Jack`s trails provide exciting loops and racing options.

Located adjacent and connected to the Hanna Creek Biathlon Range and 30km from the Castlegar Nordic Ski club’s 40 km’s of trails Black Jack is the center of a multi venue Nordic skiing destination.

4 km from downtown Rossland, Blackjack is only a ten minute drive north of the Canada/US Border, a 2.5 hour drive from Spokane International Airport (Washington State) and 3.5 hour drive from Kelowna International Airport. Black Jack is easily accessible from major airports from both Canada and the United States. The regional airport of Trail is a 20 minute drive, and Castlegar is a 30 minute drive.
